Keurig Burnt Coffee taste? Simple answer. : Keurig® Platinum B70 Gourmet Single Cup Coffee & Tea Brewing System Added Value: 60 K-Cups & My K-Cup Reusable Filter

I just got this machine & my Coffee tasted burnt. My water temp was at the higest setting 192. I thought that temp my be too high,so I set it to lowest setting of 187 & my coffee is perfect & still hot enough for plenty of half & half. The burnt taste is gone. This setting may differ in all machines,so if your getting a burnt taste with your machine,try different temp settings. You just got to find your "Sweet spot" :)

Variety rules the day at Keurig : Keurig B-70 B70 Platinum Single-Cup Home Brewing System

I recently purchased the new Keurig B-70 Gourmet Single Cup Home Brewing System that was released on October 1st, 2006 and have been very happy with it. The machine is extremely well designed, simple to operate, aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly, brews an excellent cup of coffee. I am very impressed with how quickly it is able to brew a cup of coffee, the selection of brew sizes, and how simple clean up is.

There are a variety of single cup brewers on the market now, many utilizing pre-packaged coffee "pods" for brewing. Personally I was not comfortable purchasing a product where I would be locked into the selection and pricing of a specific manufacturer, or one that would only brew coffee and not tea and cocoa. This is just one area where Keurig really shines above their competition.

Keurig has gathered support of a variety of gourmet coffee, tea, and cocoa manufacturers and there currently there are over 140 different types sold pre-packaged in K-Cups including Green Mountain, Diedrich, Gloria Jean's, Timothy's, Van Houtte, Tully's, Coffee People, Newman's Own, Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, Twinings, and Ghirardelli. Not only is there a large selection to choose from, there are a variety of resellers online offering K-Cups, and pricing is extremely competitive.

In addition to the pre-packaged offerings, Keurig offers the My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter allows you to use your own gourmet ground coffee in your Keurig home brewer. This option provided the extra level of comfort I personally needed to make the jump into a single cup brewer. Frankly I don't find myself using it very often as I had originally thought, as there are so many options available in pre-packaged K-cups.

The pricing of the Keurig brewers are extremely reasonable, and brews gourmet coffee in just a fraction of the cost of purchasing it from a Starbucks, Coffee People, or similar. I expect that my machine will pay for itself in savings in just a couple months of use.

The only suggestion I have for Keurig is that the My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter be included with the sale of the brewer, and not an optional accessory. It is such an inexpensive accessory that I am surprised it was not included. Overall the Keurig brewers are excellent value and quality and would recommend them to anyone interested in a single cup brewer.

Few tradeoffs for serious convenience : Keurig 35 B30 Mini Personal Single-Serve Brewing System, Black

This is my first investment into the world of single-serve coffee makers. I researched for some weeks, visited stores, researched some more, then decided upon the Keurig system. To me, this ideas seems like the best equilibrium of affordability, availability, and convenience.

I went to a local store, Christmas gift cards in hand, and purchased a B60 special Edition for my office. As you may fancy since this is a communicate for the Mini, the B60 feel was not a good one. Following the quick start guide, I had the unit unpacked, setup over my office next to my drip coffee maker, and the priming process started. Not much was as a matter of fact happening so I walked back to my desk to check on a few emails. That was when things roared to life. The unit started manufacture loud noises followed by not so good vibrations. I watched, not very amused but captivated, until I realized the unit was as a matter of fact "walking" toward the edge of the table. The vibration was to the point that before I could walk the 6 feet to the unit the trip mug was on the floor and the unit was a good inch over the edge. I caught the unit but dislodged the reservoir stopping the priming process which I never could outline out how to restart. Fortunately it was the weekend and I was the only one in the building to enjoy the show. The sustain estimate was answered promptly and kindly. They entered a marker and told me they "were experiencing higher than startling call volumes" and I might feel a delay in receiving support. Long story short, I got restless and took the unit back to the store for a refund that evening. Even if a properly working B60 was only half as loud or vibrated half as much, it would have been far louder than I care for.

It was back to the research and visiting stores. I as a matter of fact had not looked much at the B30/Mini. I knew it was there but discounted it for all the features it did not have. In the end, the lack of features was the fancy I decided to purchase it. You have the K-Cup benefit with fewer exciting parts which in my mind that means fewer things to fail. Yes, no pretty blue Led lights, no timer, no water reservoir, no choice in temperature, and no choice in brew sizes. However, there is also no noise, no vibration, smaller footprint, and extra money left in my pocket to buy more K-Cups. I might have liked the water reservoir and the potential to adjust the brew size but right now I am very happy with the simplicity. The only downsize I can see is having to add water for each cup but this has been no big deal. Think about it, a quarterly water bottle will make two cups and a larger water bottle will make three. I keep my bottle water at room temperature and using bottled water makes it easier to fill the unit. finally I will try out the My K-Cup but so far I have been very happy with the pre-packaged K-Cups. Every K-Cup I have tried has been in the good to very good range. The motor quietly makes a hot cup of coffee that leaves adequate room in my ceramic mug for a microscopic cream which is what I am looking for in my application.

Judging by the estimate of convenient reviews, my feel with the B60 is among the much smaller division of negative ones. The fit and end of both units were very good for the price. I as a matter of fact appreciate the simplicity of the B30 Mini, the convenience of the K-Cups, and most importantly very good coffee.
